Who we are
Programme Type is operated by Yousuf Aslam Research Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16804539, registered office 124 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration number ZC177288. For any privacy question or request, contact us at team@yousufaslam.com.
The information we collect
- Details you give us: your first name, last name, email address and phone number.
- Your assessment answers: your responses about your upbringing, your family and how things felt to you, and the programme and reading we derive from them. Some of this touches on your psychological wellbeing.
- Payment information: handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details.
- Technical and usage information: basic information about how you use the site, used to keep it working and to improve it.
Sensitive information
Some of your answers relate to your mental and emotional wellbeing, which is a special category of personal data under UK data protection law. We process it only to create the reading you have asked for, on the basis of your explicit consent, which you give when you choose to take the assessment and submit your details. You can withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us, though this will not affect anything we have already done lawfully.
How we use your information
- To generate your reading and, if you buy it, your Deep Map report.
- To deliver the service, take payment and send you your results.
- To contact you about your purchase, and, only with your consent, to send you updates.
- To keep the service secure and to improve it.
Our lawful bases
We rely on: performing our contract with you (to provide the reading and report you request); your consent (for any marketing, and for processing the sensitive parts of your answers); and our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the service), balanced against your rights.
Who we share it with
We use trusted providers who process data on our behalf: Stripe (payments), our email provider (to send your results and any updates), our hosting and database providers, and an AI provider used to generate your reading and report from your answers. We require them to protect your data and use it only on our instructions. We do not sell your personal information.
AI processing
To write your reading and report, your answers and the derived programme are sent to an AI model. This is used to produce your result, not to train third-party models. Our AI provider processes your answers solely to generate your reading and report and does not use them to train its models, under its business API terms.
International transfers
Some of our providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK-approved standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the service and your results, to meet our legal and accounting obligations, and then delete or anonymise it. You can ask us to delete your data sooner.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to our use of it, ask for portability, and withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, contact team@yousufaslam.com. You also have the right to complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk, though we would welcome the chance to help first.
Cookies
See our Cookie Policy for how we use cookies and similar technologies.
Children
This service is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed at children.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will post any changes here and update the date above.
